Tavi
Freelance Filmmaker
I’m Tavi, an award winning filmmaker and editor based in Vancouver, BC
My passion is crafting stories that reveal the beauty, complexity, and wonder of the human experience. My work has taken me around the globe—from documenting the massive Kumbh Mela pilgrimage in India to trekking Nepal’s sacred Tsum Valley, and diving into Canada’s Pacific waters to film threatened deep sea corals.
My award-winning film The Pilgrimage followed my 900 km journey along the Camino de Santiago. I’ve directed music videos with millions of views, edited CBC’s Tomorrow’s Harvest, and most recently, the feature documentary Subterranean, which premiered at Hot Docs, won Best Adventure Film at Banff Mountain Film Festival and earned multiple Leo Awards for Best Cinematography, Score, and a nomination for Best Editing.
With roots in both artful storytelling and outdoor adventure, I’ve spent a decade with the Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival and also a promo producer for Knowledge Network.
Whether it’s a personal story, bold adventure, or something that deserves to be seen in a new light—I’m always looking to collaborate with people who care about meaningful storytelling. Let’s make something unforgettable.
